BEST SEASON , WEATHER AND CLOTHING : The rainy season is during June, July, August and October with less rain showers during September. The climate in Cochin is most pleasant with bright sun and only occasional showers, between November and March. A week long celebration in Kerala, the harvest festival called ONAM is during August/September and illumination of buildings, lighting of traditional lamps, fire-works, and flower decorations, country boat races and other festival activities take place during ONAM. Celebrations of Christmas and New Year are also colorful and enjoyable. April and May is the sunny summer time, with tolerable temperatures ranging between 32 and 36 degree celsius. This is the most suitable time for wild life tour and soft trekking. While staying in Cochin, you do not need any warm clothes since casual cotton dress is most suitable for all seasons.
